A couple of weeks ago, Grant's class and the other third grade classes held a picnic at Breitbeck Park in Oswego. I took a lot of pictures of Grant and his school friends having fun (and also looking bored). After the kids got on their buses and returned to school, Griffin and I went for a walk. I took a lot of shots of the lake, the lighthouse, and - of course - Griffin.

Relay For Life
Last night I attended the American Cancer Society's Relay For Life, which was held here in Fulton at the G. Ray Bodley high school track. The weather was perfect for this all-night event, and I spent a good deal of time just wandering around, soaking up the atmosphere of hope and the celebration of life. I also got to hang out with a team made up of friends and relatives who called themselves "Reyne's Rainbow" in memory of Reyne Knight, who died suddenly and unexpectedly of cancer last fall. The highlight of the evening was the lighting of the hundreds of luminarias which surrounded the track. I would have liked to stay the whole night, but I have my own 3-Day camp-out coming up in just a few short weeks.

The Michaels Family
Fort Ontario has quickly become my favorite location for portraits. The sun and the beautiful blue water and the light breeze make each shoot a wonderful experience. Last weekend I had the privilege to work with the Michaels family. They are a wonderful couple with two fun little boys that remind me so much of my own sons.

Goofy Grant at the Fort
Grant was in an extremely silly mood when these were taken. I managed a few more serious shots at the beginning, but things quickly moved to spinning, jumping and general goofiness. That's my boy!

Taylor at Fort Ontario
I have been photographing Taylor since she was a baby. She actually won a "cutest baby"-type contest with a picture I had taken. She loves the camera, and whenever I want to just go somewhere and take some shots of a good model, she's always more than willing.

Griffin Invades the Fort
It was a beautiful if unseasonably cool day here in CNY. Griffin and I took a ride up to Fort Ontario in Oswego this morning. He loved looking at the lake and the lighthouse and I just loved watching him.
