Sodus Point Lighthouse

Today we took a trip to the Sodus Point Lighthouse in Sodus, NY. The boys had fun climbing the 52 steps to the tower lens room and we wandered around the small museum and gift shop while we were there. We also visited a smaller lighthouse down the road which is at the end of a pier, but unfortunately you can't go inside that one.

Outside of the Strong National Museum of Play there is a very nice garden called the Discovery Garden. These were taken just after a light rain, so the lighting was beautiful and most of the flowers were accented by raindrops.

Today the boys and I visited the Strong National Museum of Play, which is also home to the Dancing Wings Butterfly Garden. It was quite an experience, although none of the butterflies landed on me, as I had hoped they would.
