The Twelve Days of Christmas Ornaments - Day 3

This ornament with the odd "moon face" (as I like to call it), was originally picked out by Vance. I remember thinking it was very strange when he first showed it to me, but it has definitely grown on me over the past decade or so that it's been hanging on our trees.

The Twelve Days of Christmas Ornaments - Day 2

Today's ornament is one that I picked up a few years ago. I was drawn to it because of the beautiful shade of red and also because of its wonderful texture.

All Wrapped Up

And speaking of Christmas, here's the picture that will appear on our family Christmas card this year. If you know my children, then you know how well this picture represents their true personalities - at least Griffin's, anyway!. :)

The Twelve Days of Christmas Ornaments - Day 1

Each day from now through Christmas Eve, I will be featuring an ornament from our Christmas tree. Some of these ornaments have special meaning for me, and some I just think look pretty.

First up in our ornament parade is the sterling silver coated leaf given to me by my sister Sara several years ago. It's still one of my favorites.

New Snow

Winter has definitely returned to Central New York! We've had almost non-stop snowfall the past couple of days, and now everything is covered in that chilly blanket of white. I grabbed these shots from our front porch this morning while waiting for Grant to get on the bus.
